Hi Members, Welcome to My Blog

Now before I go into one of the biggest mistakes I ever made and still paying for.  I want you to promise,  you will read this complete article so this does not happen to you.

So let’s get started…

My name is Vince Craine and I have been Internet Marketing for over 11 years.  My main source of income was my car audio site Audiodiscounters.com. Now in order to keep my site ahead of the curve I started back in 1997 buying all these small programs that said they would help me build traffic for my car audio site.

Every month I bought the latest EBooks or Software but all I managed to do was make every Contributor RICH.

So…

When I saw this was not getting me ahead and just succeeding to put me more in debt, I decided to look for a company to help me out. I had already bought Cory Rudle’s Manuals from Internet Marketing Center which did help me. But I soon noticed I needed someone to coach me on the real  basics of Internet marketing.

So I Hired IMC to be Mentored as they were all over the Internet and I liked Cory’s persona.

They said… they could help me with my car audio site and set me up by guy who sold high end cars from overseas to the USA

Even though I did exactly what he wanted me to do my traffic never grew over the 800 a day which was what I was getting before we started. All I had to show for all this was $5,000.00 dollars in debt.

Would You Be Upset?…

Yes, I was getting very discouraged because I was shelling out a lot of money and no real new results. So I went back to buying anything I thought would help keep my site afloat. I thought to myself this is a vicious cycle because I was
slowly climbing further and further in debt and Audiodiscounters was slowly dieing.

Then it happened…

One day I received a email from the Internet Marketing Center. They were coming to Boston.  I thought wow here is my big break, I will talk to them and get this all straighten out. I could not wait for the day to come and went into Boston to hear the speakers. They were great and promised a complete package worth 25K for like 10K.

This included setting you up with a website - traffic – optin to build your list to make money. They had all the bases covered to become successful - A Complete Business in A Box. I thought to myself man, would they give this to me for a better price. So after all the speakers were done I started to negotiate with IMC and we agreed on the exact Business PKG for just $4.9995.00.

Could this be the POT OF GOLD I was looking for?

I was very excited about the discount because I had secured their Prize Mentor who was the best copywriter they had to help me build my new car audio site for  Megaloud. This was a brand new product line that I was the National Manager for and the Potential was huge if I could get this going on the Internet.

So… the coaching calls started and the Mentor would give me assignments to do. IMC built all the graphics and I was to write a ruff draft of content for the first page and then my Mentor would critique it and make the changes that had to be made.

So one weekend I sat down and wrote the copy. This was easy for me as I new the Inventor of the product line and spent many hours learning all the features and benefits to sell his products. The only thing is I had NO! Copy writing Experience at all but I knew I hada coach who’s specialty was just that.

After I finished the copy I sent it to him, what he said SHOCKED Me. He told me the copy was GREAT and he would not change a thing except bold and italicize a few certain words. Now here was supposedly the best copywriter in the world, I felt that I was let down. I said to him are you sure it’s ok, He said Vince it’s great. You did a awesome job.

That is not what I wanted to hear.  I was hoping he would tear it apart and tell me it was horrible then teach me what I did wrong and re-write it. But he didn’t (If you want to see the sales Copy go to http://caraudioamps.com) still their

So… the content (Sales Copy) was all set, are you kidding, my ruff draft.

Now it was onto building the site. We worked together for week’s to get this done. He told me what to do and I had my webmaster do it for me – more money. But what I saw was that my Mentor was always going on the road for IMC to promote this business package that I had bought and because of this, weeks would fly by when I was at a stand still, so I just kept plugging away with with Audiodiscounters, my money site.

Then it all  CRASHING Down!

My Mentor said Vince we are not going to be able to finish this because we are running out of time..I can give you a special rate for 8 more hours at 3K I said… Are you kidding me. We ran out of time because you are always out promoting. I could not believe what he was suggesting. I thought about it and said NO WAY! that’s it – I am stopping the bleeding and I finished the site myself with help from my webmaster.

Now it was not the greatest looking site and I only made a few sales to datebut worst of all I had fallen again for this company and was now 10K in debt which I am still trying to pay off 3 years down the road.. We never did half the things the business plan promised because we ran out of time. Looking back at this, was that their incentive.

Two very valuable lessons to learn.

Lesson 1,  If you want to be a Internet Marketer make sure you know the basics. How to set up a website ,domain, optin and ftp. Learn how to build a simple sale funnel and some easy seo for search engines. Be=careful if you out source this. Most webmasters or companies will take advantage of your lack of knowledge and it will cost you thousands. To solve this you need to build your personal Rat Pack of Marketers who can help you. Best way to do this is to go to the seminars and meet them. More on this in up and coming post.

Lesson 2, Never just jump into a Mentor program or a company that promises you the world. This is the fastest way to get yourself in debt and you will be paying for it for the rest of your life. In My next post I will show you the right way to start your online business so you don’t have to go  though the trials and error and make the mistakes I did.

The day was July 13th - the place Delray Beach Florida,

It all started when I saw the Mike was offering a day with Rich Schefren and himself as a bonus when you bought Rich’s GPS 2.0. Yes this was expensive as it was a complete business course, But… The bonus was to hard to pass up, I mean if you had a chance to spend a whole day with the most saud after Guru on the planet and a multimillionaire - would you take advantage of it?

So I made arrangements to fly down and stay at the Marriott only a few blocks from Rich’s office, so I did not need a car. But let me tell you walking even a 10:00 am the sun is very hot and a few blocks seem to take forever. But when I finally made it I noticed the office was just a little place hidden in the back.

I said to myself, they do 28 million out of here. Now this was not a shoe box but it was not a huge place either. As we were given a tour every room had a purpose especially Rich’s video room were he does all his free webinars from. Equipment in this room alone was worth a quarter of a million dollars.

As we met everyone of his employees, we saw that Rich had recruited some the best marketers, programmers and copywriters in the world and they all had the best equipment money could buy.
Now I was slowly starting to see how they could accomplish this.

When we first came in Rich and Mike were not their, I think Rich went to pick up Mike at the airport because they both showed up about noon time just in time for lunch. The earlier part of the the day Brian and Tom their mangers told us about their operations and how they work. When Rich and Mike arrived…

We all were all invited for lunch for (Thai Food). I had no idea what was on the menu so I played it safe and had the chicken Teriyaki. Some of the guys ordered some impressive looking plates.

Anyhow… I had the pleasure to sit next to Mike and Rich. They were talking small talk for a while because they are great friends. As I was listening to the other marketers that bought though the bonus also, Mike started to talk about his Las Vegas Seminar coming up and his new project Tweet Glide. So I introduced myself and started to talk about our own twitter software and what it did and how we out preformed Hummingbird in a weekly showdown.

Mike seemed to be very interested and said we will talk more about this at the next break. So we left the restaurant and headed back to the office. When we got in the office everyone started to realize both these Guru’s on the internet were just very nice down to earth guys. Now was what I was here for, to ask Rich and Mike questions and get the real answers that were proven and time tested to work. As I listen to both of them speak you saw that they had a real marketing team behind them and they both did what they were great at.

Rich loves to read books and when it comes to writing he will spend several days or a weeks writing a blog post. The main theme he was trying to get across to us is to be great at one thing and out source the other parts. Don’t try to be a one man show because being a jack of all trades in Internet marketing or any other niche will fall short.

Now Mike is a software developer and great at PPC. (pay per click) and he really stole the show. He gave us a lot of great ideas but what he did that impressed me is he went around the room one by one and asked you about your business and what you wanted to do to improve it. He found out what the things were that were holding each of us back and Rich add to the conversation with his vast knowledge in direct sales and Internet marketing.

I bet they spent half hour on each of us or more and what I was waiting for to happen, never happened. Their was no pitch fest to buy anything, just real experts teaching each of us about our own business, this blew me away. If you ever get to take Mike Filsaime’s Cruise - jump on it, because Mike and Rich are to people who really care about the new marketers on the internet. Mike Cruise will have all the top marketers in the world and I can not wait to meet them if they are anything like Rich Schefren & Mike Filsaime.

Now before I show you the results, I want to make one things clear. First, we had nothing to do with this. About a few weeks ago after we launched TweetElite Pro we were approached by a gentleman who name was Pol. He said he was interested in our product and wanted to do a comparison with three of the favorites out in the Internet to see who’s was better.

Well because of the free exposure we said why not, if we come in second to the #1 twitter software on the planet we would be pleased. We really did not have any idea what the real income would be. All we knew was, “we” my partner Jay and I put our minds together for many months coming up with marketing strategies and features to build the best software we could - TweetElite Pro. Looking at the three – Day 7:

Three of the top auto following software for Twitter go head 2 head. We let them loose to see which follows best for a week. We were looking at numbers, percentages, but also in the final tests, to see if there is a difference in how the followers react. Will they follow a link?

Let’s see how they did. Let’s go straight to the bottom line and then we’ll give you our “so far” recommendations and why.

Hummingbird: Bottom line? 1.06% upwards change in followers in the last day and 1.38% since we began. Total numbers of followers in one week: 2056

Tweet Elite Pro: Bottom line? 1.07% upwards change in followers in the last day and 8.91% since we began. Total numbers of followers in one week: 2530

Twitter Snipe: Bottom line? 1.05% upwards change in followers in the last day and 1.37% since we began. Total numbers of followers in one week: 1177

Tweet Elite is definitely in the lead here, but had started slowing down in the last couple of days. Twitter Snipe got passed up by Hummingbird and ended up last. I’ve put up total numbers as well as percentage changed so you can see how many people actually followed us back, not just who we followed.

I think there is no challenge here when it comes down to it. The only thing that might sway you away from the clear leader may be price and features, as well as support. So we’ll look at that as well.

All three follow “gurus” automatically. Keyword follows are not yet implemented in Hummingbird but are supposed to be there this month. Twitter Snipe does it real time and shows you who they are following and even the conversation they followed. Tweet Elite follows by keyword, but it’s all done automatically behind the scenes. You can see a list afterwards.

Tweet Elite Pro is more powerful in added features and the only real draw back is the limited accounts you can run it for. It now supports two Twitter accounts, but one at at time. Hummingbird was the easiest to switch accounts with and can handle seemingly limitless accounts. So if you have many Twitter accounts then you may consider Hummingbird. The drawbacks with Hummingbird is that you actually have to run a program to get it to do anything. You have to time when it is right to follow or unfollow. You have to figure out when to restart the program if you hit a Twitter limit. And it does not, yet, do keywords follows. That’s a major drawback in my eyes, but we’ll find out next week for sure when we do the “Rabid Link Follower Check”

Twitter Snipe is cool looking, but seemed to be the worst at getting followers to follow back. It also needs to have regular intervention to run it. Twitter Snipe works from my website, so it has the hardest installation and I had to have an open browser and the computer running to get it to work. You could have more than one account and it was not too difficult to switch between them once it was setup (just a drop down menu to pick).

Support for Hummingbird seemed to mostly consist of a forum (with lots of people that seemed to be on it) I had trouble getting a hold of Twitter Snipe support, but when I got them they were very helpful. Tweet Elite had a customer support team that was quick at returning emails and had good followup. None of the three seemed to monitor Twitter for their own company product names, which is hard to believe since it is so easy to do. I put out a couple of Tweets on a few different Twitter accounts and didn’t get a response from any of them.

So, price:

Hummingbird cost $197 for the program they have a special deal right now, where you use the code RECESSION and you get 15% off. They also have a couple day free trial.

Tweet Elite cost $147 for the full program one time or you can get it monthly for a $37 per month fee or you can get a trail version for $6. Right now if you tweet and follow them you’ll get a discount of $50 off the one time price or $5 off the monthly or the trial versions. Let’s see cheaper, has more features, gets more followers. This one is my choice IF you have a few accounts. Notice I had shortchanged the total numbers before – now it’s updated with actual numbers – which are much higher.

Twitter Snipe is the least expensive at $77 and does have the cool Sniper Live Feed which lets you see the person you’re following and even the keyword that triggered the follow. But it also had the least amount of followers following back in the test and was the hardest to install. Definitely not for the tech challenged, although they were willing to install for me.

All in all any of these products is much better and faster than doing it by hand. I prefer Tweet Elite Pro even with the drawback of the limited account usage, because of the extra features and the totally transparent usage. It also had the best statistics of all of them. I also think that this company has some features and stuff they’re not yet revealing, but may already be in there, because I found out stuff as we were going that wasn’t mentioned in their literature. Bonus!

My second choice would be Hummingbird, especially if they upgrade it and if you have many Twitter accounts. But it is the most expensive.

My last choice is Twitter Snipe. It’s the cheapest and is cool looking when it runs, but it’s also the biggest pain.
