CamStudio - Redesigned - Affordable for the Little Guy
I’m sure you’ve probably heard many of the internet marketing “gurus” recommend Video Screening. CamStudio lets you to make a video of your computer screen with you talking as the audio. Many successful internet marketers use Video software extensively - for example, to demonstrate a service or product that they are marketing.
As you already know, videos are extremely POWERFUL on the internet. They allow you to “rise above the noise” of words and emails and allow you to be more personal with your visitors or subscribers!
Ultra successful marketers like John Reese and Frank Kern (as well as many others) have personally accredited this tool to making them THOUSANDS of dollars. They tell you, “If you don’t have it, go buy it NOW.”
You see, “CamStudio,” was released under GPL, which means you can download it for FREE.
So, why doesn’t everybody download CamStudio instead of paying for higher priced video software?
CamStudio would be fine for most users, except that there are Two MAJOR FLAWS with the older CamStudio program…
1. Output Flash videos DON’T WORK in Firefox or Netscape.
This is a HUGE problem for internet marketers, who don’t want to frustrate users or prevent users from watching their “videoized” sales letters! Considering just Firefox has had over 200 million downloads, you don’t want this happening to your viewers!
2. There’s no “redirect to URL” after playing option for your output Flash videos.
John Reese says he was the first internet marketer to use this awesome feature. This feature will redirect the viewer of the video to the URL of your choice when the movie ends. So you can make a video demonstrating a product or service and redirect your viewer immediately to the URL to buy! (This greatly increases conversion rates). But the old CamStudio doesn’t have this option.
Well now those two problems have been fixed. You see, I just managed to get resell rights to a new & improved version called … Cam Studio Internet Marketing Version.
I have been testing this software for over a week and I have to say I am very impressed with it. I will have a video up soon showing you the new software and a very special surprise for you. Stay tune - Vince

Hi Vince,
I know that Camtasia is supposed to be the best. But like you said it’s a bit expensive at the moment for some of us.
I would be very interested in the results of your test for the free version. It sounds great and I am sure that it will help a lot of people.
Hope to hear about it soon.
All the best.
Alan.

Thanks for the notification Vince and for the post on my blog.
One question though: Isn’t CamStudio already free?
January 21st, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Alan, this was Camtasia before they changed the name,
exactly the same with out all the bugs
Should be up with in a few hours, Vince
January 21st, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Yes the old version is. The new Internet Marketing Version
has been updated with the Flash out put and the redirect url
option just like camtasia. Also all the bugs have been fixed such as switching to a SWF .
This works just like Camtasia,
I will have a video up soon showing the new version.
January 21st, 2009 at 12:18 pm
Paul, read my post , it explains the new version.

Hi Vince,
Thanks for doing this, I almost paid $9.95 for the version of CamStudio IM version the other day but procrastinated about doing it, now I’m glad I did.
I look forward to getting the word that you’ve got it ready to give away to those of us who don’t have Camtasia.
Take care,
Kevin

I look forward to seeing the video in a few hours time.
I’ll inform the other AJ members of your generous offer too, as I’m just off to Garry-Land.

Hi Vince,
I’m very interested in getting the improved version if the testing shows it hits the mark. How did you get PLR rights to it?
Thanks,
Debbie

Hi Vince,
I made all the early videos on my site with Cam Studio. Actually I’ve had fewer audio problems with it than with Camtasia too.
For short videos you can also use Techsmith Jing, (www.jingproject.com/) which seems like a mini version of Camtasia but which produces quite good results.
I am looking forward to receiving your book.
Warm regards,
Stephen

Actually Stephen before Camtasia was named Camtasia it was Camstudio. Just had a lot of bugs and not all the features of Camtasia. But know it has it’s own producer for flash, SWF, as well ad a redirect url.
The E-book has a lot of good info in it. for newbies and novice.

Hi Vince,
Thanks for the software. I’ve only made one video so far but used the Windows Movie Maker facility.
Everyone talks about Camtasia but I can’t afford that - YET, so hopefully this Internet Marketing Edition of Cam Studio will be the answer.
Appreciate your generosity and wish you all the best.

January 22nd, 2009 at 12:47 am
Hi Vince…great stuff..I have been trialling Camtasia and debating about buying it…US$300 is around A$500 so its a bit bigger investment for us on the other side of the pond…this sounds like a good option
Already filled in your box to find out more..
